Dr. Doris Atanmo Strempek

PRESIDENT

Dr. Doris Atanmo-Strempek is a Georgia and Ohio Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor with over 20 years of clinical experience in Clinical Supervision and mental health counseling as well as a variety of research and teaching capacities. She earned a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision at The University of Akron, an M.A. in Mental Health Counseling, and a B.SC in Child Life also at The University of Akron. Research interests include identity development in diverse populations, chronic mental illness, religion and spirituality, and cultural ethics and supervision.

Mr. Gebah Sekou Kamara

Mr. Gebah Sekou Kamara

VICE PRESIDENT

Gebah Sekou Kamara was born in Liberia West Africa. He is the author of several books including ‘Slavery and Black Americans Statehood, ‘America’s Forgotten Star-Liberia, ‘The Boy from the Slum who became the world’s best soccer player, ‘From a slave family to the first black American president-JJ Roberts, My Great African’s Heroes and Liberia’s Best Hope- Meet Alexandre Cummings Jr. He obtained his early education in Liberia. He attended Matilda Newport Jr high and the Monrovia Centre High School and started his criminal justice education at the A.M.E Zion Community College in Liberia. Gebah Sekou Kamara migrated to the United State in 1998 due to the Civil War in his country. While in the United States he obtained his associate degree in automotive technologies at Lincoln Tech Institute in Philadelphia. He later followed his passion by obtaining a Bachelor of Science Degree, in Criminal Justice Administration from the University of Phoenix campus in Downtown Philadelphia. Mr. Kamara later went on to obtain two master’s degrees from New England College and Kaplan University in Criminal Justice Leadership and Homeland Security and Emergency Management, respectively. He was enlisted in the Liberian Armed Forces during the height of the Liberian civil wars, has worked as a social worker, adjunct criminal justice professor and as a human services professional. He is also a social advocate, culinary chef, host of the African’s writers Room on Clubhouse. He is also a founding member of the Liberian Empowerment Organization and Solid Foundations Charity in the USA.

Ngozi Atanmo

TREASURER

Ngozi D Atanmo, MBA, PMP is a Sr. Project/Program Manager at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. A proud graduate of the University of Toledo c(Toledo, OH, USA), she was inspired to pursue a career in project and program management after working on a mission critical project that delivered key technology that served the US population. Ngozi has 15+ years’ experience with successfully planning, executing, and delivering large scale IT and non-IT programs and projects. She is also a personal coach, mentor, and leadership development facilitator. She was named one of Kaleidoscope Magazine “Forty Under Forty Club.” The magazine recognizes young African American professionals who have distinguished themselves in their business organizations, and in their community. Ngozi has a passion for building high performance teams, educating, and coaching individuals to reach their full potential. Her work has been recognized as exemplary by her current employer, the Board of the Friends’ school she serves and by the people she mentors and coaches. Ngozi was born in the United States & raised in Warri, Nigeria until the age of 13. She is a wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend. She loves to travel, embraces learning about new cultures and enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Joseph Strempek

SECRETARY

Joseph Strempek is a graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester, Massachusetts, USA with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Joseph worked for The Babcock & Wilcox Company of Barberton, Ohio, USA for 42 years in a variety of capacities including Field Service Engineering, Proposal and Contract Engineering, and Design Engineering. During this time, he was a front-line contact with customers and was responsible for the design, performance, and emission standards for a variety of products including B&W’S Waste to Energy (WTE) product line. He holds 1 US patent. With a fervent interest in helping people in need, Joseph is a founding member of the Solid Foundations Charity and is very grateful for the opportunity to serve in this capacity. Joseph has an interest in educating/introducing residents of Liberia to a more ecologically responsible manner of disposing their residential trash as well as teaching women and children sustainable gardening techniques for self-reliance. He is currently a registered Engineering consultant in the state of Georgia, USA where he pursues a variety of projects in Utility Power Generation and Waste to Energy plants. He also created a company called Inspirational Photography where his products help instill spiritual awareness and increase the level of self-esteem in those suffering with hopelessness.

PUBLIC RELATIONS

Adaeze Atanmo is a graduate of The University of Akron. She has bachelor’s degrees in public relations and organizational communications, and a minor in International Business. She worked as a Bank Operations Manager for 7 years and as a Service Account Manager at Diebold Nixdorf and NCR for 9 years. Adaeze is an advanced professional with a passion for coaching, mentoring, operations, and compliance. She has experience with developing long-term relationships built on trust, customer satisfaction and leading cross functional projects to successful completion. She has been recognized for her solid organizational, communication and excellent time management skills as well as her strong attention to detail. She always aims to listen and show interest in others by recognizing and respecting peoples’ diversity and individual differences.

Austin Atanmo

RESEARCH MANAGER

Austin E. Atanmo is currently a student at Jefferson University in Philadelphia Pennsylvania where he is studying premed. His goal is to become a Cardiologist and minor degree in Ecology. He enjoys spending time in natural habitats studying plant life and discovering ways to increase plant production while decreasing harm to the atmosphere. He is a renown international traveler having visited several countries in Africa, Asia and Europe. His love for travel and his heart for people has inspired his desire to become a Doctor Without Borders. He enjoys playing soccer, the clarinet and productively hanging out with family and friends. During his quarterly breaks for academics, Austin works as a health care support with the elderly population. He is an active listener and shows interest and respect to develop a level of cultural humility needed for diversity and inclusion.

YOUTH AMBASSADOR

Marinna C. Atanmo is a third-year student at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. Marinna is a “Golden Child” and excels in all areas of her young life. Her skills in track and field events have created the opportunity for her to obtain scholarships to pursue her academic and professional career goal of becoming a Child Psychiatrist. She currently works in a mental health facility to better prepare her for the challenges that accompany caring for those with mental health disorders. She is outgoing, energetic, and always ready to lend a helping hand to support the needs of others in the community through volunteering and community service. She enjoys drawing, creative arts and engaging within the international community.

Sekou E Kamara

SOCIAL MEDIA DIRECTOR

Sekou was born and raised in the city of Monrovia, Liberia. Sekou Erasmond Kamara worked with Accountability Lab and T-Bund Studios during the height of the Ebola crisis on the “Save Liberia Project.”. A project that brings artists from all across Liberia to collaborate for the cause of bringing awareness to the Ebola crisis. Sekou Erasmond Kamara finally gave in to his passion by sharing his music with the world in 2015, releasing his first single, “BAHDT GYAL”. The reggae/dancehall single was well-received by fans in Liberia. A few months later, he relocated to the United States, where he performed at many events across the United States, including the annual friends and family event, an African love story concert, and other private events. In his quest to promote Liberian writers, Sekou started an initiative to establish a writing competition for Liberian writers. He saw the needs of women and children in Liberia, and decided to join Solid Foundations Charity Inc. as its social media manager
